The first time we used this, one of the prongs in one of the USB connections broke. This caused, unbeknownst to us, the wires to short out. The X-box showed a red ring of death and we had to unplug it to restart it. THe USB hub started to smoke so we disconnected it. It's unusable. It was only $5 or so, so I disposed of it and didn't bother returning it.
I bought this USB hub because my wireless guitar and usb microphone stopped working. I was able to get the mic to work by plugging it into a USB port on the wii console which proves that the usb hub was bad. Now with the new USB hub the Mic works when it is plugged into it but the wireless guitar still does not. The product details are misleading stating that it works with all Rock Band instruments. It doesn't mention anything about it not supporting wireless insruments. I called the makers of Rock Band and they said they do not sell the wireless USB dongle separatley and that I have to buy another guitar which the dongle comes with. If you're looking to replace your wireless adapter this won't do it.
